We did get lucky with our hunt, didn't we?
I enthused,
“Dinner was going to be a feast, wasn't it?! "
“Didn't see this coming, did you?” I questioned Ria,
as I fixed our meal.
She shook her head, licking her lips in excitement.
Our aromatic meal simmered fiercely on the fire,
like the turbulent storm outside...
wild and growling, whipping up the sea.

weary travelers
Thrown ashore a deserted island
Seeking refuge in a shack
Slurping
on a bowl of comfort food...
'Steaming Hot Instant Noodles'
Yum!
She quipped mischievously,
“It does feel like home, doesn't it?”
